Tag Your Bag

Join Oxfam's unique Tag Your Bag scheme and you'll receive 100 Nectar points. Then when your donated items sell they'll be worth 25% more to Oxfam thanks to Gift Aid and you'll earn 2 Nectar points for each £1 you raise.

If you already have a Tag Your Bag account you can link your Nectar card to collect points.

Gift Aid is a scheme run by HM Revenue and Customs that allows charities like Oxfam to reclaim the tax on donations by UK taxpayers. Registering for the Tag Your Bag scheme means we can claim the Gift Aid on any goods that you bring into your local Oxfam shop.

We work hard to make as much money as possible from every item you give us.

If you sign up for Nectar you will receive 100 points when you join Tag Your Bag and 2 points for every £1 your goods are sold for.

By signing up to Tag Your Bag, you are agreeing that you:

• are a UK taxpayer and would like Oxfam to reclaim the tax that you have paid on any donations you have made in the previous four years (but no earlier than 1t April 2008) and any future donations you make. The tax reclaimed will be used to help fund the whole of Oxfam's work. In order for Oxfam to reclaim the tax you have paid on your donations, you must - have paid income or capital gains tax (in the UK) for each tax year (6 April - 5 April) at least equal to the tax that all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs that you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year. Other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify.
• understand that Oxfam Activities Limited (OAL) will attempt to sell the goods on your behalf and that 1% of the sale price will be paid to OAL by way of commission.
• own all items provided for sale and that they were obtained in a legal manner.
• allow Oxfam to sell the item in whatever manner it decides in order to maximise the value of the sale and to allow Oxfam to dispose of those items which in Oxfam's opinion have no saleable value, and acknowledge that your goods cannot be returned.
• will be contacted regularly, currently twice a year (or less if items are sold for less than £5), confirming your consent that the proceeds of the sale can be donated to Oxfam.
• will notify us if you are no longer eligible to gift aid your donations. Please also let us know if your contact details change, so that we can continue to claim Gift Aid. Unfortunately if we do not have your current contact details your Gift Aid Declaration will not be valid.
