Payroll giving FAQs

  • How does payroll giving work?

You will need to fill out our form to sign up to Oxfam at Work. We'll then pass on your details to the relevant Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) who will do all of the necessary administration work with your employer to set up your regular gift. So you don't have to inform your employer about your gift to us, it will all be sorted out for you. This usually takes a bit of time so don't worry if your donation doesn't come out of your next pay packet.

  • How will I know if I am eligible to join a payroll giving scheme ?

You'll be eligible if you're an employee or a pensioner and your employer deducts Pay As You Earn tax from your salary or pension.

  • How much should I give through payroll giving?

You can give however much you'd like, it's entirely up to you. Remember, payroll donations are before tax so they really are the most efficient way to donate.
