Emergency fundraising

At any one time Oxfam is responding to around 25 emergencies worldwide. Right now, that includes responding to the needs of 2.8 million people in Nepal who  have been affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck in April 2015. Fundraising for our emergency work will help save lives.

Our emergency aid includes targeted food distribution, providing clean water and sanitation, as well as cash for food, health promotion, animal health support and disaster risk reduction. It's life-saving work. And we wouldn't be able to do it without people getting together and fundraising for us.

What can I do?

Organise your own fundraising activities

Get your friends, family and colleagues together to raise money for emergencies. Just £50 raised by a cake sale could feed a family of six in Somalia for two weeks. In fact, whatever the fundraising activity the outcome remains the same - you'll save lives.

Volunteer to help with a collection

When emergencies occur, our  fundraising team works hard to arrange fundraising all over the UK. We need volunteers to donate their time. Register as your interst as a volunteer and we'll let point you towards the nearest collection point or fundraising event that's looking for volunteers.

Your time is precious - by donating just a few hours you can help raise vital funds. It's a truly great feeling knowing the difference you've made.
