Oxfam’s new website for teachers now offers even more support and ideas for teaching about global issues.

This new site has been developed by Oxfam’s Development Education team, and has been built especially with busy teachers in mind. The new resource quick find option allows you to search our huge range of free resources by subject area, topic, country and age group.

Our free online resources include:

• Mapping our World, our BAFTA winning resource for teaching about globes and maps
• Climate Chaos, a week of activities to help pupils explore the causes and consequences of climate change
• Oxjam Global Music Lesson Plans, designed to tie in with Oxfam's annual music extravaganza

You’ll also find a host of lesson plans, photo stories, whiteboard activities and cases studies - ideal for getting the global dimension into your classroom and delivering quality Education for Global Citizenship.

To support your work, we’ve now added a dedicated teacher support section, designed to give you the skills and confidence to tackle the tricky issues that affect your pupils’ lives.

You’ll also find information about our work with educational decision-makers to effect important changes to the education system.
