Oxfam Youth Action Groups

Start a group in your school

Oxfam’s new Youth Action Groups are a space for young people be creative, get organised, and to use their passion to fight global poverty. Starting a group in your school will help students to learn more about global issues, and develop the skills and confidence to put their own world-changing ideas into action.

Groups can get involved in might include creating a video message, art display or creative petition, holding a debate or themed event to raise awareness of global issues, and inviting their MP, friends, community and the local press along.

Registering as an Oxfam Youth Action Group connects you with a network of other schools and colleges who are passionate about making a fairer world possible. You’ll receive a welcome pack of materials, regular communications and up to three visits a year from an Oxfam staff member or volunteer, plus ongoing support and advice

There are no minimum requirements, beyond keeping in touch and involving your Oxfam contact in your plans, but we hope you’ll enjoy participating in projects and competitions Oxfam offers throughout the year.

How do I register interest?

Simply email our supporter relations team, letting them know where you are based and they will explain what to do next.
