Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship (ESDGC) is in educational policy in Wales and provides an opportunity for young people in Wales to develop the values, attitudes and skills to be active global citizens. Oxfam works closely with others in Wales to promote and support ESDGC through teacher training, initial teacher education, providing bilingual teaching resources and global citizenship projects.
Oxfam Cymru works in partnership with others to influence decision makers in the Welsh Government to commit to continue and develop support for ESDGC. You can read more about our asks in the Oxfam Cymru Manifesto 2011.
