Children in a Changing Climate The ccc-learning section of this website aims to provide a hub and gateway for learning resources and activities related to climate change focusing on those that provide insight and inspire action on the global justice dimensions of preventing and adapting to climate change.

Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) CABE have produced a climate change activity kit for schools, containing lots of ideas for responding to the challenge of climate change through different areas of the curriculum.

Eden Project Details on CPD for teachers, schools projects and arranging schools visits to the Eden Project.

Environmental Protection Agency (US) This is the climate change division of the American Environmental Protection Agency. The site offers current information about the subject, including a special section for children containing facts, games, suggestions, animations and a set of resources for teachers.

Footprint Friends Footprint Friends is a social network forum dedicated to environmental education and awareness.  It has been specifically created to give 10-18s a voice on climate change.

Global Youth Action Global Youth Action is a national project that supports young people to explore and take action on the global issues that matter to them. 

Global Action Plan Action at School is an environmental programme that helps schools to save resources and money. It is curriculum linked for key stages three and four and is recognized by the United Nations Environment Programme. The programme helps schools to tackle waste, water, energy or transport over three terms. Because Action at School is a year long programme of training and support it requires third party funding, which is usually met by Local Authorities or businesses.

GreenHouse Gas Online The site contains articles and facts gathered from the scientific press. A resources section includes several sets of useful slide shows.

Kidearth See how a 12 year old boy’s has combined his love of music and concern about climate change to inspire others around the world – and maybe get inspired to take musical action yourselves.

National Grid for Learning (Cymru) Containing a wealth of interesting resources about climate change in Wales, this site is full of photographs, activity ideas, animations, case studies and more.

Not Stupid Not Stupid is the action campaign of the film, Age of Stupid.   You can use this site to take action, join up with others who are taking action in your area and present certificates to people who you judge to be ‘stupid’ or ‘not stupid’ when it comes to climate change.

OneClimate OneClimate is an initiative of OneWorld UK.   What the OneWorld UK team has done through the oneclimate.net website is to create innovative spaces and useful tools to enable you to communicate your experiences, insights, questions and answers about climate change.

Operation Climate Control is a game designed for Key Stage 4 students learning about climate change for their GCSEs.  The game concentrates on the impacts of climate change, and what can be done about it.

Oxfam GB Films, stories and animations exploring the impact of climate change on the communities with which Oxfam works.  Also contains details of how to get involved in supporting Oxfam’s work in tackling climate change.

Plan UK Plan UK have provided a series of 14 lesson plans, complete with images and photographs, to help students explore the impacts of climate change and how they can take action.

Stop Climate Chaos The Stop Climate Chaos coalition has produced an action pack with ideas and support materials to help people of all ages take action to influence the UK Government and the UN COP15 Summit in December.

Take Aim at Climate Change The "Take AIM at Climate Change" music video features lyrics based on the latest science, images showing NASA visualizations, and rhymes and rhythms inspired by contemporary rap and hip-hop. Tommy Boots, Jené and friends review how changes at Earth's poles have global impact. The video shows how each of us can take "A-I-M" at global warming by using science and technology to "Adapt, Innovate, Mitigate."

Teach Climate Change Contains resources and links to other useful websites for teaching about all aspects of climate change.

UK Youth Climate Change Coalition Campaigning website for young people – with links to other UKYCC sites and youth coalitions in other countries. 

World Mapper Worldmapper is a collection of nearly 600 world maps, where territories are re-sized on each map according to the subject of interest.  Lots of the maps are relevant to climate change (see, for example, maps of carbon emissions) – lokk through the A-Z index for details of the full range of maps.

You, Me & The Climate You, Me & The Climate (YOMAC) is a youth-leadership initiative supported by the National Trust, which empowers young people aged 16-19 to become leaders or “Climateers” on climate change and encourages them to take action in their local communities.
