G8 Italia 2009

In July 2009, leaders of the G8 countries will hold their annual summit in Italy.  The global economic situation will be uppermost in their minds but they have other big issues on the agenda too – not least their commitments to tackle poverty and to improve the quality of life for the world’s poorest people.   

The G8 summit presents a great opportunity to engage pupils with these issues and questions of power, decision-making and inequality at the global level.
