specialise in what they are best at. Free
trade (trade without barriers and tariffs)
should make every country better off in the long run.
When we lend money to poor countries, we need to impose
strict conditions, which help the country to become
more competitive. These include making them to open
their markets to free trade. Without these conditions,
how would the country be able to pay us back?
