Send my Friend to School

680x150

In 2000, world leaders made a promise to get all children into school by 2015. However there are still over 60 million children still missing out on school.

These resources will help you explore the global education challenges young people face - and encourage world leaders to get every child into school by 2015.

Over 5,000 schools and groups took part in Send My Friend to School in 2012, creating gold medal messages calling on world leaders to 'go for gold' for education. Schools took part in 97% of UK constituencies.

In 2013, Send My Friend to School will focus on the need for more trained teachers to deliver a quality education for all. Currently, class sizes in many countries mean there is only one teacher for up to 100 students.

A free pack, containing posters, stickers, DVD and classroom activities suitable for primary and secondary age pupils will be available in the Spring Term, and more free resources will be available online. Find out more and sign-up for updates.

Send My Friend to School is run by a partnership of charities, including Oxfam and teachers' unions, and involves young campaigners in over 100 countries.
