Inject colour into your wardrobe with a retro blouse

Colourful patterns always attract my attention first when I'm out charity shopping, and over time I've developed a particular affection for retro blouses, which seem to come in every pattern imaginable. My friends always appear slightly amused by my fashion choices, but I just can't get enough of them!
One of the best things about retro blouses (for someone who appreciates a good dose of colour co-ordination) is that they are really easy to match up with block-coloured skirts and trousers. Simply pick a colour from the blouse and choose your 'bottoms' accordingly. Or, if you are feeling really daring, experiment with colour clashing!
To mix things up a bit, you can also customise the collar, for example by adding a tie or bow - the ribbon in the photos cost under 50p.
Many retro blouses are made from 100% Polyester, which is absolutely brilliant if, like me, you hate ironing. Imagine my delight when I found that they come out of the washing machine crease-free!
There are plenty of retro blouses on offer in the Oxfam Shop: have a browse here. And in the meantime, here are some outfits containing retro blouses for inspiration!
