How to wear swimwear

Summer's nearly here (or so we're led to believe) and with that comes an abundance of swimming costumes in charity shops up and down the country. Due to this, I thought I'd share with you a few ideas of the ways you can wear your swimwear in outfits - whether to add a few more options to your wardrobe, to have a beach cover up, or just so you can have a bit more space in your suitcase if you're lucky enough to be getting away from our "summer". All swimwear featured in this article has been purchased from charity shops, costing between 50p to £3.99.

This swimming costume is very on trend with its Aztec style pattern and neon colour. Not one to wear head to toe colour, I've paired it with a black skirt and shirt combination but put a splash of neon orange on my nails.

This stripy costume is great to wear as a body suit - its low back means it's perfect for summer and keeping cool! I've worn it under a pair of vintage Levis.

Maxi skirts are big this summer, and wearing one over a swimming costume is an on trend way to cover up on the beach. Remember - the more patterns, the better!

There are so many floral patterned costumes out there. Throw one on under a pair of high waisted trousers, add a head scarf and you're set for a shopping session - 60s style.
Side note: I think all of these outfits would look excellent with an umbrella too. Just saying.
