So you’ve seen the shops, and you've picked up some great clothes, but have you ever wondered if there's anything more to Oxfam?
Maybe you’ve seen our TV ads or know that we’re an international aid agency, but did you know that we work to end poverty on loads of levels, and have made significant progress by campaigning and lobbying for change?
Perhaps you've seen us at the summer festivals or you’ve heard Chris Martin talking about Make Trade Fair? The question is: did you associate that with Oxfam, a charity which has its roots in Europe during the Second World War?
Put simply, Oxfam believes that in a world rich in resources, poverty isn’t a fact of life but an injustice which must be overcome. We believe that everyone is entitled to a life of dignity and opportunity; and we work with poor communities, local partner organisations, volunteers, and supporters to make this a reality.
