Did you see all the World Poverty Day stuff on the news?

Well, did you? The day has got loads of coverage - really highlighting the kind of issues that Oxfam has been campaigning on over the past few years. For those that missed it all, here are a few links. You can read Michael Howard's speech here and Tony Blair's pledge to make poverty history here. Gordon Brown said that world poverty was 'the great moral issue of our generation'. And Charles Kennedy vowed to make poverty history too - read more here. It's great that the political parties are finally taking notice of what all the aid agencies have been saying for ages. It seems these issues are finally coming into the main stream...
