Support for MPH just keeps on growing and growing. Click here to see what campaigners and celebrities such as Baaba Maal, Gael Garcia Bernal, Eddie Izzard and Pete Postlewhite have to say about G8. The overwhelming message - this week can be the start on the road to making poverty history, and everybody has a part to play.

I think that the more publicity the MPH campaign gets the better and celebrities really help to get the message out there.
I thought Bob Geldof today was a bit out of order when he thought the G8 summit conclusions on Aid, Debt and Trade were "successful". He has said we will make sure leaders act, bit he's not done this.
On debt, they have done no more than confirm the proposed deals by the finance ministers. On aid, the extra $50billion will come too late and until 2010, a child will continue to die every 3 seconds just because they were born poor. On trade, they did very little, if anything. They have not set a date for the end of export subsidies that destroy livelyhoods of countries around the world.
We wanted action - not words. How can Geldof then suggest that this was a "successful" Summit?

They have made a start, but there is still A LONG WAY to go, sadly.

Totally agree Mark - they've still got to do something about trade.
