Benjamin Zephaniah: we are a "frustrated generation" We have had some great writing through Write for Generation Why and it reminded me of a brilliant poet, novelist, playwright and social activist called Benjamin Zephaniah who has a free exhibition on at the moment in Manchester. He believes that art can be used for much more than for art's sake, and that you can combine it with political activism. And Benjamin doesn't believe young people are apathetic - in a recent interview he says we are a "frustrated generation... I meet people all the time who tell me they want to be active but don't know where to go or how to start".
