Law firm proves a real card Dec 17 2005
South Wales Echo Five gold camels, four donkeys, three mountain goats, two beehives, a chicken and a mango tree...
These are a South Wales law firm's excuse for not sending Christmas cards.
Cardiff-based Leo Abse and Cohen is spending £1,000 on animals and a share in a mango plantation for poor communities in Africa.
It is part of the Oxfam Unwrapped Scheme to put money traditionally spent on Christmas cards to good causes.
'Each year we spend hundreds of pounds producing Christmas cards for staff and clients,' said Ian Hopkins, managing partner at Leo Abse and Cohen. 'This year we wanted to give them something different.' Why buy/sell Xmas cards???
