Millions of people across East Africa are facing a food crisis. Affected countries are Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Tanzania.

The situation is serious and worse than it has been for many years.

Oxfam Media Officer Doug Keatinge is covering the situation from his base in Nairobi, Kenya. This blog really does bring home the extent of the crisis.

Dr Paul Moorcraft, wrote an article in yesterday's Western Mail, which may be of interest. We can't give the weblink ,due to forum rules, simple to find though.

Web links are fine as long as they don't lead to sites that would break our terms (to prevent people linking to offensive, defamatory material etc.) Link away if it's relevant to the blog post.
