Photo competition: win a digital camera!
Enter Shoot Nations’ worldwide photography competition and you could win an Olympus Digital SLR camera plus the chance to have your photographs showcased at the United Nations. The contest is open to anyone under the age of 24 and opens in June. A panel of professional photographers will choose their top 48 shots, which will be exhibited in the auditorium of the UN’s New York headquarters on International Youth Day on 12 August. The exhibition will also tour London, Berlin, Madrid, Dakar and Delhi.
The theme for entries is how the world’s youth is governed and how young people view the state of the world. Choose between their different briefs and enter up to three photos. Categories include; what upsets you? What could you do about it? Who listens to you? Who do you look up to? Who rules? Where are they? Use the power of photography to capture your vision of the world. There are also prizes for the most humorous photos. Entries must be received by 20 July.
