Put pressure on the G8
It's that time of year when the big leaders meet at the G8 summit - and here's how you can get involved.
When the G8 leaders met in 2005 they made some big promises about ending poverty. Some were kept, and these have made a real difference to millions of people. Unfortunately many of the promises weren't kept. The G8 will be meeting again between 6-8 June this year. We need leaders to keep turning their promises into reality, because if momentum is lost, so are millions of lives.
Three simple things you can do:
You can help by taking the simple actions below and by passing these on to people you know.
1.
Send a message to Tony Blair and German Chancellor Angela Merkel (current chair of the G8). Let them know that the world can't wait for an end to poverty.
2.
Come to London for the G8 rally on 2 June, and bring as many people as you can.
3. Join our new MySpace page,
The G8 Wait. On there you can take a virtual seat at the table to wait for Tony Blair to return home and tell us what went on at the G8.
