Are you a climate change champ? Are you passionate about the environment? Fancy representing your country as a climate change champion? The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (aka Defra) runs an annual competition to find nine outstanding young people to represent England and help spread the word about climate change. Last year’s champs had tea with Tony at Number 10 before embarking on a European climate change expedition to the Chelenalp glacier in Switzerland. Since then they have been speaking at events across the country to make people aware of climate change and its effects. The competition is open to young people aged between 11 and 18 and the closing date for applications is 9 November.
