Throw a film party and change the world
The weather’s getting dodgy. The days are shorter, wetter, and colder. Why not grab your mates, bake a shepherd’s pie and escape the endless rubbish on telly by hosting your own film party?
On Sunday 25 November Oxfam supporters around the UK are hosting film parties of recent Nobel Laureate Al Gore’s groundbreaking work, An Inconvenient Truth. This will help raise awareness for climate change and its affects on the world’s most vulnerable people. The film is an excellent way to introduce yourself, as well as friends and family, to the ins-and-outs of climate change.
After the film, you will have the opportunity to dial into a giant phone call of other house parties – where an Oxfam expert and special guest speaker can discuss the issues with you. And to show our support we’ve got free An Inconvenient Truth DVDs as well as 150 Oxfam T-shirts for house party organisers. Go ahead – get cosy, get involved and host a film party for a good cause.
