Labour party conference gets going

We were down at the Labour party conference in sunny Bournemouth earlier this week. Our Gordon Brown ‘big head’ enjoyed a paddle in the sea before being chased by our runners, who were asking him to Go further on fighting poverty, Go faster on climate change and Go for a just foreign policy.

Oxfam is asking Gordon Brown to keep poverty on the political agenda. Join the Go Gordon campaign by sending the PM an email >>

Shop online for second-hand bargains

If you love rummaging through the rails of your local Oxfam shop to find that unique outfit or designer bargain, you can now do it from the comfort of your desk with the new Oxfam online shop's donated range.

Selling second-hand clothes, books and household nic-naks, you can find everything from evening dresses to egg cups, or from CDs to cowboy boots. You can buy online (without the hassle of someone outbidding you at the last minute) and know that your money is going to a good cause.

The new online store also sells a wide range of Unwrapped gifts, Fairtrade goodies and recycled items such as gorgeous bags made from old saris –a very stylish way to carry your groceries.

Win tickets for top-secret gigs - in an Oxfam shop

Win the chance to see Fatboy Slim, The Kooks, Hot Chip and Jamelia play secret gigs!

To celebrate the start of Oxjam - Oxfam's month-long music festival - we're giving you the chance to see top stars play a series of one-off gigs in a mystery Oxfam location.

Win tickets to secret gigs in Oxfam shops

From 1 to 4 October, we're taking over an Oxfam shop in London - by day, it'll sell great tunes, musical instruments and celeb memorabilia, and by night it'll be transformed into a unique gig venue.

It'll host exclusive sets from Fatboy Slim, The Kooks, Jamelia, Hot Chip, Emmanuel Jal and many more, as well as guest DJ spots from Jarvis Cocker, Bobby Friction and Killa Kela.

It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we've got 50 pairs of tickets to giveaway for each night.

WIN TICKETS!

Klaxons love Oxjam

We just wanted to say whopping great congratulations to Klaxons for winning the Mercury Music Prize. Lovely stuff. What's more, they support Oxjam - our music fundraising spectacular this October - so they're nice boys as well.
