In a bid to raise the profile of the global Control Arms campaign, London-based DJ Each and Oscar Bueno, one of the biggest names in Brazilian underground music, have been on a tour of the Brazil.

The tour, which coincided with the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, Brazil, brought the campaign to many younger Brazilians. According to many locals, the first DJ Each tour of Brazil in September 2004 had already raised the profile of the Control Arms campaign among non-governmental organizations.

The presence of Oxfam and Amnesty International in the World Social Forum was a real boost for the campaign in Brazil.

Working with Control Arms' Brazilian partners, Sou da Paz, volunteers gathered 217 signatures in support of the campaign. And people were queuing up to have their picture taken for the Million Faces Petition.

Each and Oscar Bueno took their tunes to clubs in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Florianopolis and Porto Alegre.

A new tour is now being organised, this time in Europe
