In February 2004, six students from Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire travelled to Cambodia with Channel 4 and Oxfam.
In May, a documentary about their visit was shown on Channel 4. It highlighted the differences between education in the UK and Cambodia.
The students were the winners of Channel 4’s World of Difference Award: their £10,000 prize money was spent on educational resources and fees for a number of girls in a rural area of Cambodia.
