june sarpong goes to ghana

Day 1: June travels to the villages of Affife in the Volta Region and Astuare in the Eastern Region. She meets with rice farmer cooperatives who are struggling to sell their rice due to an influx of foreign imports. “In Ghana, we are hard workers,” says one. “But we can only work if we can do things that allow us to make a living, that are profitable.”
