After some inspiration? Get campaigning tips from the Oxford High School People & Planet group, who will be writing a diary about their year.

There are over 150 People & Planet groups up and down the country, exploring global issues and running Fairtrade campaigns. The Oxford group are really excited to be writing for Generation Why and will be producing regular updates throughout the year. It’s a great way for the group to express themselves and share ideas.

Fairtrade open evening at Oxford High School

The group have had some great successes already this term, with their Fairtrade campaign taking the school by storm. They now aim to take this, and other campaigns, further.

Events already planned are a Fairtrade fashion show in March, more Fairtrade stalls at school events and an idea to raise awareness of the issues in the wider community by holding a competition for the best ‘Fairtrade family’. The group’s Fairtrade city map has already been a huge hit in helping local people to shop where it’s fair.

They’ll be writing a regular diary of what they’re up to, so keep checking back for ideas and inspiration.
