People & Planet

People & Planet is a vibrant network of 150 groups at sixth forms and universities around the UK. Its groups campaign on issues of world poverty, human rights and the environment.

People & Planet and Oxfam are working together to help Sixth Formers learn about Fairtrade and take positive action in their schools and communities.

We run workshops in schools and colleges to introduce the issues and can provide you with all the information, support and materials you need to start a campaign group.

In the past year the number of you campaigning on global issues has exploded! With opportunities to turn your school into a Fairtrade school, attend exciting events and publicity stunts, this is a great time to start taking action for a better world!

Here's a quick summary of some of the ways People and Planet can help you:


Fairtrade Workshops
We can visit your school to give a free workshop about Fairtrade and Trade Justice to either your whole year or tutor group.

Fairtrade Workshop Pack
The script and materials to give your own Fairtrade Workshop and raise awareness of Trade issues amongst other students. The pack is designed to be used by sixth formers or teachers.

Group Starter Pack
This pack is also coming soon. It will include everything you need to start a new group in your school.

Campaign Packs
We can send free Fairtrade, Stop Esso and Treat AIDS Now campaign packs, straight to your school. They include everything you need to run our three campaigns. You can order yours online via the People and Planet website or call the Sixth Form Support Team on 01865 245678.
