Happy campaigners

Yesterday's star campaigners Ben and Matt at the end of their shift last night, having collected 100s of signatures for the Big Noise Petition. Big respect to Matt - he came in to our tent Friday morning and just offered to help us out. What a legend.

Bestival by night

A lovely pic of our very own festival coordinator, Chris Rose, overlooking Bestival last night. Beautiful, baby.

When Saturday comes...

The drizzle is descending on Bestival, but it will never be enough to dampen our end-of-summer spirits. We've had an awesome time of it so far, and EVERYONE we speak to is supportive of Make Trade Fair. Yesterday the Isle of Wight was basked in glorious early September sunshine, and our campaigners darted from tent to tent, gathering signatures for the Big Noise Petition.

Ready, steady...

Well, the sun is shining here (not sure if it will all weekend, but still) and we're just preparing the tent, and taking the whole brilliant festival in. There's a unique vibe here at Bestival - it all feels very homegrown and organic, and everybody seems to be smiling and hoping for a brilliant weekend. There are loads of great foodstalls - thai, veggie, indian, organic burgers, handcut chips - definitely not your usual burger'n'chips fare. And there are all kinds of massage areas, magical cinema tents, experimental sound centres, tipi fields and even a campervan field filled with vans to keep our very own campaigning camper company. We'll be telling the whole festival about Make Trade Fair, so stay tuned for more pics and updates...

Zooming to Bestival

It's a whirlwind round GWhy HQ as we gather our wellies, sunhats and very best Cowboys and Indians costumes for the end-of-the-summer spectacular that is Bestival. We're heading down to Southampton tomorrow at daybreak, and catching the party ferry to the Isle of Wight. Like always, we'll be shouting insanely about the virtues of Make Trade Fair, and we'll have our blissed out chill out tent, complete with campaigning campervan and the BEST campaigners this side of the Solent. We can't wait to see off our brilliant summer of campaigning in style - hope to see you down there!
