Oxfam's summer tour: festivals review 2006

Lovebox 2006

This was our second year at Lovebox, the biggest and best dance festival in London, and once again our little green campervan delivered us (and our 'looks-like-half-of-a-giant-poverty-crushing-spider' exhibition) safe and sound.

Our brilliant volunteers enjoyed the graffiti-artists, fire-throwers and weird-but-entertaining pirate bands (as well as great live acts like Jamiroquai and Roots Manuva), and helped to raise awareness for Make Trade Fair - a stonking 2,500 lovely Loveboxers added their name to our Big Noise petition.

how was it for you?

Festival food is an experience!

The paninis and coffee in the Oxfam tent were delicious, but elsewhere the standards varied...

Though I have to say the chicken madras I had at Lovebox was definitely a high point!

We look back on an incredible summer.

Loads of ace pics from hot and sunny Leeds.

We were there, talking climate change, selling wedding dresses and stewarding our socks off.

Our VIP ticket competition winner Kate Murphy reports back on parrots, pink men and z-list celebs at V Stafford. Oh, and she watched some bands too.

angry about poverty?
how angry are you about poverty?
All summer we were taking photos of festival-goers pulling angry faces - all to show how angry people at festivals are about poverty. We've got a gallery of nearly 700 terrifying faces - the best one as judged by us will win a year's worth of top CDs courtesy of Universal Music.
