Oxfam's summer tour: festivals review 2006

Our Make Trade Fair campaign went down a storm at the World of Music and Dance extravaganza.

Everyone loved our lean, green campaigning machine (aka the Oxfam campervan), and over 4,000 people signed our petition, helping us to put real pressure on world leaders to end poverty for good.

We also had a quite awesome 500 stewards doing their friendly-stewarding thing, and our trading team sold weird and wonderful clothes to help raise loads more cash to fight poverty. Music highlight: Ska Cubano - absolute legends!

how was it for you?

A festival hopping journey from the mighty Isle of Wight to the eclectic Cornbury carnival, to the hubbub of world music at WOMAD.

From eccentric fancy dress attire to beer drinking welly competitions, to sleeping under the stars in our trusted 1960s campervan, it's been the best summer ever!

Loads of ace pics from hot and sunny Leeds.

We were there, talking climate change, selling wedding dresses and stewarding our socks off.

angry about poverty?
how angry are you about poverty?
All summer we were taking photos of festival-goers pulling angry faces - all to show how angry people at festivals are about poverty. We've got a gallery of nearly 700 terrifying faces - the best one as judged by us will win a year's worth of top CDs courtesy of Universal Music.
