On the road to the Isle of Wight
Well, our little green campaigning campervan (see pic, taken at last year's NASS festival) has just left Oxfam HQ for the Isle of Wight Festival, and our happy team is aboard, readying themselves for a weekend of sunshine, music and campaigning.
Everyone's looking forward to an awesome festival - the weather looks glorious, the line-up is amazing (The Prodigy, Primal Scream, Editors, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Richard Ashcroft, Goldfrapp and loads more) and we can't wait to show off our camper and tell festival-goers about the Make Trade Fair campaign.
We'll have our top team of volunteers on the festival site, raising awareness about unfair global trade laws and gathering support for the Big Noise Petition. All of this will put much-needed pressure on world leaders to change trade rules so that poorer countries benefit. If you're going to the festival, look out for our smiling campaigners and sign the petition.
We'll be adding news on this blog throughout the weekend, so stay tuned for great pics and festival updates...
