Can't wait for T in the Park
Hey hey hey, the next festival on the magical Oxfam festival tour is T in the Park in Scotland this weekend. Despite all the rain and thunderstorms, we're so excited we might even forget about the World Cup. The line up is off-the-scale. How's this for a list of bands you've ALWAYS wanted to see (take a deep breath) : Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Placebo, The Strokes, The Magic Numbers, Paul Weller, Goldfrapp, Richard Ashcroft, Editors, Feeder, The Zutons, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Kooks, Maximo Park, The Charlatans, Primal Scream, The Go! Team, Damian Marley, Sigur Ros, Ben Harper, Jose Gonzalez, Zero 7 and so many more. Oh, and not forgetting bespectacled Scottish heroes The Proclaimers (see pic), of course.
Well, we've just packed up the van and waved off our campaigners for the long drive from Oxford to Balado, by Kinross. Like all the festivals this year, we'll be talking to T-goers about Oxfam's campaigns - this time we're focusing on Health and Education for All. We need world leaders to make sure that millions of poor people across the world get free access to healthcare and education. We'll be collecting signatures for a petition to put pressure on world leaders to do just that. You can act right now by sending an e-mail to tell Tony Blair to keep his promises.
We'll be sending pics and updates from T on this blog, so be sure to come back. You never know, we might even get to meet The Proclaimers (he he).
