T-riffic
Hello from T in the Park!
Oxfam arrived safely at Balado near Kinross late last night, after a cracking drive (loved the Lake District!). The site here is HUGE! There's so much going on, and the festival hasn't even started yet. With a line-up to write home about, it's going to be a weekend and a half. And once again, Oxfam is right in the thick of it - our marquee is nestled cosily between the Main Stage and the Radio 1/NME stage...yes please!
We've been busy setting up our brand new (and very, VERY big) exhibition today. It's fair to say I'm no DIY wizard, so an over-sized Meccano set proved quite a challenge. But it's up now, and looking absolutely fantastic. The exhibition shows people what they can do to help end poverty...and features Dave Grohl's pants! It's the first time we've got it out in public, so we're very excited to hear and see people's reactions to it. Check back here over the weekend for photos and news!
Get this...the sun's come out! Yep, as I'm writing this, at 9pm on Friday night, a few cheeky rays are just peeking their noses out from behind the clouds. Good old Scotland!
Right, I'm off to check out the other Oxfam tent in the campsite 24hr village, which is selling the usual mix of wierd hats, fancy dress and knitted blankets. There's kilts for a fiver too, although apparently they've been selling like hot cakes and there's not many left - och Donald, where's me troosers? (Sorry, couldn't resist!).
Have fun everyone, and see you tomorrow for more news and photos from T.
