What is Music4Life?
Music4Life is a new form of club night, giving people the chance to enjoy famous (as well as up-and-coming) DJs and at the same time raise the profile of Oxfam’s fight against poverty and suffering. Proceeds from the night go to support Oxfam’s work and the event acts as a platform to highlight key issues affecting the world’s poorest people.
What else?
DJs play for free and there is a record fair selling the pick of the second hand music from Oxfam shops. People can even get in for less when they donate a record or CD on the door.
What’s the music?
The music policy is across the board – funk, hip-hop, leftfield, house, breaks – and the night has a real good-time vibe. Past DJs include Bobby Friction and Nihal, Jon Carter, Terry Francis, Organic Audio and Bugz In The Attic.
When is it?
It’s a regular night at the Notting Hill Arts Club in London. Check this page for details of the next Music4Life night, and for reviews and pics after the event.
