Would you like to become an Oxfam speaker and help to represent Oxfam in your community?

We are currently looking to recruit speakers in two regions of England, the north and the south-east. Any applicants will need to be based in these areas (full list of counties in the job specification).

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your enthusiasm about overcoming poverty to motivate and inspire people in your community.

This role involves delivering short talks to help inform community groups about how Oxfam works with others to overcome poverty and suffering. We're looking for people who enjoy speaking in public, are able to communicate clearly with a variety of audiences and can inspire and motivate people to take action.

If you would like to find out more download the full job specification (Word, 44 KB or PDF, 83 KB).

To apply, please fill out this application form (Word, 63 KB or PDF, 61 KB) and send it to Beckley@oxfam.org.uk by 2 September.

Phone interviews will take place the week of 10 September and all new speakers will need to attend regional training on Saturday 29 September.

The role is unpaid (though travel expenses will be covered) and there is a minimum commitment to deliver 6 talks in your local area in one year.

If you would like to find out more please get in touch with Bethany at the email address above.
