Ever fancied foraging in a park or open space? Well now's the time to start planning a Forage and Feast event in a field near you! Forage and Feast is part of the GROW campaign, and exists to provide a hands on platform to discuss ways to fix the food system at a local and global level.

Ever fancied foraging in a park or open space? Well now's the time to start planning a Forage and Feast event in a field near you! Forage and Feast is part of the GROW campaign, and exists to provide a hands on platform to discuss ways to fix the food system at a local and global level. The first part of the event provides an opportunity for a hands on forage, led by expert foragers. After a hard slog gathering autumnal abundance, the group will gather to feast on foraged food and ideas. The picnic feast will take place over world cafe type conversations, where issues such as global food justice, land grabs, food price spikes and international support of small scale farmers will be discussed. A range of activities will be facilitated, focussing on a solutions thinking approach to fixing the global food system. There will also be a chance to celebrate local food heroes. This will provide the chance to nominate people working in your region for global food justice and on local sustainable food initiatives to be publicly celebrated for the work they are doing. If you are interested in organising your own Forage and Feast Eevnt, download the organisers resource pack, the organisers checklistcase study cards and event evaluation document. If you have any questions, contact your regional Activist Coordinators.
