Stewarding 2014 Applications Open
Clare Williamson Marketing Executive, Oxfam Festivals Team
11th Mar 2014
Oxfam Stewarding applications opened to the public shortly after 10.30 this morning and we've had a great response so far!
For the first time ever, our Glastonbury places filled up in less than an hour and places are moving quickly at many of our other festivals too. We anticipate smaller events (where we take fewer stewards anyway) such as Nozstock and Bearded Theory to be full in the next 24 hours, so if you like the look of them don't hesitate - apply now so you're not disappointed!
We understand that there will be many people who had their heart set on Glastonbury and have been disappointed this morning. Please do make sure you join the waiting list, so we can contact you should we re-open any places due to cancellations nearer the time. Please remember that we have lots of other great festival experiences available for you this summer too!
If you have successfully applied to steward today - Hooray! & Welcome!
We'll look forward to seeing you all on site this summer. Please read our After You Apply information to make sure you know what happens / is supposed to happen now.
One of the recurring questions we're getting today is from people who people haven't received both the application and Worldpay (deposit) confirmation emails after applying. There are many reasons you might not have received emails straight away - for example some major email providers block our emails as spam if you haven't added us to your address book.
This year we have introduced a new panel on the website where you can check your active applications - if you follow the link below and scroll to the bottom, you can log back in with your details to see which festivals we have on the system for you: https://www.oxfam.org.uk/applications/festivals/steward_apply.html
Please be aware you won't be able to edit your details through this - any changes you need to make should be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org - please include your full name and date of birth in any correspondence so we can identify you easily.
The support team who answer our phone and emails have been working incredibly hard today. Our office hours for these are 9am - 5pm GMT. As you would expect, we are dealing with peak volumes of both calls and emails at the moment, so please be patient, we will respond to you as quickly as possible. (Asking the same question several times only slows that down!)
