Food power – be part of the global revolution

This summer we asked festival-goers to star in a special e-book for World Food Day. We asked you how we can make food fairer, and your ideas came pouring out (a bit like the rain).

You gave us ideas from Fair Trade coffee to buying local, and told us about communities in Bangladesh setting up co-operatives to get the best price for their milk. Check out the booklet - inspired by and starring you it features photos of you and your Food Power ideas from the summer, backed up with little bites of Oxfam research.

Share it with your friends to show how using your Food Power really does make food fairer for all involved. Thank you for all your ideas and involvement this summer - can't wait to see you in a field next year.

Why was Oxfam at festivals?

We go to festivals to talk to people about our campaigns. In 2011 we launched our global GROW campaign, which calls for a fairer food system.

We returned to talk to you about GROW in 2012. You might have seen our volunteers roaming around the site, with more fun ways to start talking about the ways people are doing food differently all over the UK and across the world.

Fancy being a campaigner? Get in touch with your local office and see what they're up to in your area.
