Trainee Intern Assistant Manager (Pinner)

Context:

To become fully trained as a Manager for a retail shop.

Frequency: Flexible - Up to 3 days a week to be decided by mutual agreement; one Saturday per month to be included.

To be trained to and operate as a Team Manager for the shop
To be able to take responsibility for the operation of the shop in the absence of the Manager
To understand the work that Oxfam does as a Charity
To build connections with and promote Oxfam to local communities especially in terms of Oxfam's fundraising activities on a shop level
To understand Gift-Aid and to be able to implement

Training to the level of Manager of the shop
Be able to manage and motivate a team of volunteers and operate a 6 day rota.
Be able to maximise the competencies and capabilities of all volunteers
Gain work experience within other Oxfam Shops and departments
Gain a good understanding of Property, Human Resources and Health & Safety Management
Be able to define and deliver a commercial business plan and objectives
Gain interpersonal and leadership skills
Allow you the confidence to be ambitious, creative, innovative, and to enjoy responsibility
