Creative remake and remodel Volunteer (Gateshead)

Context:

Working on an Award Winning Project, designing and making new pieces from old unsalable clothing and accessories. We visit various events throughout the year where we would sell your remade clothes/ items

Frequency: As many hours as you can spare, can work from home to do this job,can bring items into shop if need to use our kit/ tools, could involve a weekly/ fortnight casual meeting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Remaking unsalable products e.g. jewellery, clothes, bags into new wearable/ useable items. Ready for sale either in store or at event stalls
  • Can work from home. However we can provide threads, needles, buttons, sewing machine, glue gun, pins, fabric, wool, needles etc. (Some of which will need to be kept in the shop)
  • Possibly a weekly/fortnight group workshop meeting new people and creating pieces together in a friendly environment

Skills and competencies:

  • No experience needed. But a creative mind is always helpful!
  • Anyone can get involved
