Recruitment Trading HR Volunteer Assistant

Context:

The HR Team provides Support to the Trading Division's staff and managers. We have 750 shops, and approx 1,000 paid employees, located throughout the UK.

frequency: 2 days per week, minimum 3 month commitment.

Key responsibilities:

Recruitment:
  • Sending out application packs.
  • Uploading job vacancies into i-Grasp, our recruitment database.
  • Advertising vacancies on Job Centre.
  • Uploading applications into i-Grasp.
  • Responding to general queries from applicants.
  • Drafting and producing job vacancy posters.

General:

  • Answering phone calls and directing enquires to the appropriate person.
  • Provide basic administrative support for the 4 administrators in the Trading HR team.

Skills and competencies:

  • Excellent computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Email)
  • You need to demonstrate good accuracy and attention to detail
  • A strong interest in Recruitment and Human Resource practices
  • Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interact at all Levels within the organisation
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Pleasant customer service manner
  • Good written and spoken English, with the ability to interpret hand-written forms
  • Although this is a volunteer position, you need to provide current proof of right to work
