Volunteer Sales Assistant (Liskeard)

Our sales assistants are the heart of our shop. You will be responsible for greeting and making them feel welcome, to give them the ultimate shopping experience. We are proud that we have gained a local reputation for being friendly and welcoming. You will work mainly individually but also as part of a team to make sure that we continue to maintain a high standard of customer service. You will help to serve customers, operate a till, and deal with questions relating to Oxfam's work and services as well as products on the shop floor. You will help to maintain the shop floor of merchandise and with housekeeping duties. It does not matter if you are a novice or experienced with sales/till duties-you will receive all the training and support needed for this role. 

Frequency: 1-2 days a week

• Sales assistance/customer service dealing with customers/donors/contractors.
• Signing up gift Aid donors.
• Cashiering duties including cash/credit & debit sales/returns/donations & petty cash.
• Daily and weekly figure readings
• Completing sales and till financial systems.

• No previous experience necessary but you will need a desire to learn.
• Ability to work as part of a team and also independently.
• Friendly and helpful attitude.
