Volunteer Driver Collector (Various Locations)

Context:

Our shops rely on the generosity of donors to give us unwanted items. Having a shop based collector allows the shop to attract larger donations that the donor cannot get to the shop.

Frequency: From 2 hours per week, applicants will be asked to work with 1 or 2 shops that are local to them.

Locations: Various locations across Leicestershire, Beds,Northants and Herts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with their shop manager to arrange collections
  • Publicising their collection service within the community
  • Working with the shop manager to increase the quality and quantity of collections

Skills and competencies:

  • A full driving licence and a suitable car
  • A friendly and professional manner as an ambassador for Oxfam in the community
  • The ability to complete basic paperwork
  • Knowledge of the local area
