Upcycling, craft and haberdashery volunteer (Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes)

Context:

Working in the busy Stony Stratford shop, you will be engaged in sorting through seemingly unsalable items creating saleable products from them eg, patchwork squares, bunting kits, up-cycled jewellery anything you can imagine. (Like what Kirsty Alssopp does when she isn't selling houses.)

Key responsibilities:

Remaking unsalable products e.g. jewellery, clothes, bags into new wearable/ useable items. Ready for sale in store. As it is a new project there is a lot of scope for developing new ideas and products.  

Skills and competencies:

  • A creative flair and an eye for seeing potential.
  • An interest in craft and remaking things.
  • No experience needed. But a creative mind is always helpful!
  • An ability to use scissors :)
