Online Shop Volunteer (Cardiff)

Context:

To raise money online by selecting and listing items on the Oxfam Online Shop (OOS) website. Volunteer will be involved in listing items e.g. music, clothing, jewellery etc. Any specialist knowledge in jewellery, vintage clothing or designer labels would be especially useful.

 

Frequency: Flexible hours. Minimum of one 4 hour shift. Ideally more than one shift a week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and photograph items ready to list
  • List items on the OOS website
  • Process online orders to mail to customers
  • Assist in reviewing stock for removal or re pricing

Skills and competencies:

  • Be comfortable with use of A PC and Windows applications. Guidance will be provided
  • Able to use a digital camera (further training will be given)
  • Any experience with online sites would be beneficial
  • Ability to use the internet for researching sale items
  • Good written English skills to write descriptions.
