Volunteer Shop Assistant (Blyth)

Context:

You will join a friendly and inspiring team. Your gift of time, skills and experience will help us to continue to overcome poverty in the UK and abroad. This will be a great opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and an opportunity to get an excellent reference.

Frequency: 8 hours per week

Key responsibilities:

  • Engaging with our customers, supporters and donors
  • Sorting through donated items
  • Preparing items for sale
  • Replenishing the shop floor
  • Ensuring the shop is clean and presentable
  • Operating the till (optional)

Skills and competencies:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Enthusiasm and the willingness to learn
  • Proactive and able to work on your own initiative
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
