Emergency Fundraising Coordinator (Redditch)(Stratford Upon Avon)

Emergency Fundraising Coordinators are motivated individuals who recruit for and organise fundraising events in their local community to respond to a disaster appeal. You will be responsible for inspiring a team of individuals to organise fundraising events when an emergency occurs so that Oxfam can respond to these humanitarian disasters as soon as possible. This type of fundraising can range from street collections to more elaborate fundraising events; it is entirely down to what motivates you. In this position you can offer as much or as little time as you want, and whatever you choose to do Oxfam will offer support and guidance throughout the entire process.

Frequency: On average just a day or a few hours a month or at times of Emergency. Not a weekly commitment.

• You will have a vital role in raising funds to support the DEC and Oxfam's emergency response work
• Help out at large scale local fundraising events. For example street collections or football matches
• Initiate local fundraising and build connections within your local community, e.g. distribute collection tins in local businesses
• The opportunity to organise small fundraising events such as coffee mornings and pub quizzes if you wish
• Work as part of a group of volunteers and be involved with the recruitment and motivation

• Encourage people within your local community to support Oxfam and the DEC

• Be self motivated
• Lots of enthusiasm for the cause and for fundraising.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to encourage others to get involved
