Volunteer Cashier (Stanmore)

Context:

This is an excellent opportunity to volunteer in a warm, friendly and well merchandised store. The applicant has the opportunity to make a great impression as they are the first point of call to customers. We are particularly looking for someone who is friendly, proactive and has an eye for detail.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Serving customers on the till
  • Merchandising and tidying the shop floor
  • Answering queries
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • End of day cashing up (when trained)

Skills and competencies:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence in handling money
  • An interest in customer service
  • Honesty and trustworthiness
  • Reliability and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn about Oxfam
  • Friendly, with good communication skills
  • Basic numeracy
