Conference of Parties (Copenhagen, Denmark, 7–18 Dec)

Quite simply, these are the most significant and important talks on climate change we will ever know. 10,000 representatives from 170 countries are expected at the meeting, which will result in a new climate plan to replace the Kyoto Protocol when it expires in 2012.

This is the moment when the entire world has the opportunity to act together to limit global warming and its effect on people. And with climate scientists saying we only have a few years left to avoid dangerous climate change, it’s absolutely vital that international decision makers get the right solution this year.
